I'm not a chef. Don't pretend to be. In fact, I've never worked in a pizzeria other than my own. I grew up in the '80s in Northeast Tennessee eating at a Red Roof Pizza Hut, Little Caesars and a strip mall Domino's. I'm no pizza snob and believe what a person considers the "best" pizza or even "good" pizza is incredibly subjective. It's a debate rooted in where one grew up and what tastes like home. Luckily, America is a pretty big place with a rich pizza tradition. Since moving away from Tennessee, I've lived in some great pizza towns and enjoyed some iconic pies. My approach to pizza is a mixture of all these influences and sincere respect for the craft.

Pizza is awesome and so is small business. This blog is about both.
